From the medieval creation of the Universities until the French Revolution, all the teaching and research was made in Latin. The Enlightenment brought with it the predominance of the vernacular languages, being the Latin banished forever. However,
in the Renaissance the autochthonous idioms started to be used as Scientifics languages all over, particularly because of the discovery of the printing and the Lutheran Reform triumph’s.
