The promotion of Salvador Minguijon to assistant professor

Abstract

Juan Salvador Minguijón was professor of legal history at the University of Zaragoza in the first half of the twentieth century and became a well-known figure in Zaragoza. Before he obtained his chair, he competed for and was awarded a teaching position at the university. The files of his examination for this position are found in the Archivo General de la Administración. In addition to presenting an important figure in the history of law in the legal life of the Second Republic and the first part of the Franco regime, these papers permit us to understand the method of filling academic positions in early twentieth-century Spanish universities
