This investigation highlights the Escuela de Salamanca as an inspiring nucleus for the development of Law in our Spanish Golden Age. A great number of Spanish theologians, teachers and disciples contributed their ideas and reflections to broadening the horizon of the science of law. Their understanding and comprehension of legal affairs were so extensive that that later colleges still reference their analysis. One such example is that of D. de Soto. The breadth and depth of de Soto´s legal expertise has rendered it impossible to cover all facets of his efforts in one such volume, as here. However, we have examined some of his reflections on the subject of property and the translative acts of dominium contained in his work De Iustitia et iure.
