Analysis of the political philosophy of Professor Álvaro d'Ors, who searches for the primordial law of every institution, the etymos nomos, which clarifies the intimate necessity that justifies the historical development of each institution. Violence, tradition, legitimacy, auctoritas and potestas, the Modern State, are the headings of this essay.
